The Summer I Turned Pretty is back on Amazon Prime Video, but what songs appear in the third season? Read on to find out.
The series is created by Jenny Han as an adaptation of her novel series of the same name, and it tells the story of a love triangle between Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) and brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).
The first two episodes of season three premiered on Prime Video on Wednesday (July 16), with subsequent instalments of the 11-episode run to arrive every Wednesday up until the climax on September 17.
Picking up events four years after the end of season two, it has been confirmed that this will be the final season of the show. Based on the third and final book in the series We’ll Always Have Summer, it is set to wrap up the story of the central characters for good.
Explaining the decision to end it now, Han told People: “There’s a lot of story, and it covers a wide expanse of time. My preference was three seasons, but I also wanted to allow the storytelling room in case I felt like we needed more time. We needed more canvas for the story, so that’s how we ended up with 11 episodes. But yeah, three books, three seasons. It feels right to me.”
