EXODUS Are Currently Recording Two New Albums

During an interview on The Chuck Shute Podcast, Exodus guitarist and songwriter Gary Holt shared that the band is "recording two albums right now."

Holt further explained that it was "an ambitious goal" to make two records at once, but they're actually only just "a couple of songs shy from hitting [their] total goal of having two albums of crushing material."

The dual-record release will be a follow-up to Exodus' 2021 release, Persona Non Grata. There is no official release date as the record isn't finished, but according to Holt, swift progress is being made, and that they're "shooting for a spring release of next year," because even though they "were hoping to get it done this year, get it out this year," they "would have had to rush it."

Exodus are also planning to release both records back-to-back, so "when it's time to release the follow-up, it's done, it's in the can." And Holt acknowledges, "chances are by the time we get to that point, I'll have new stuff that has to be included."

So far, the band are trying to have "20 to 22" tracks between the two albums. And "the shit is fucking phenomenal."
