FKA twigs is back with “Perfectly,” a brand new song and her first offering since releasing Eusexua earlier this year.
With a quick, racing tempo and syncopated synths, “Perfectly” aligns with a lot of the darkened dance pop found in Eusexua; though “Perfectly” also feels more light and romantic, even with its pulsating outro. “For now I know I will/ La-la-la-let it go,” twigs sings in the chorus, lining up with the keyboard stabs in the first half and dancing over the melody in the second half. “and so the offerings begin again…,” FKA twigs wrote on Instagram of “Perfect.” “if EUSEXUA was the tip of the tongue, PERFECTLY is the oesophagus… i wonder what lays in the belly of the beast.” twigs has yet to confirm a deluxe version of Eusexua (Deluxua?), but this new single was co-written with Eusexua collaborators Koreless and Ethan P. Flynn as well as Amy Wadge and producer Xquisite Korpse, so it’s possible this is the first offering from an expanded Eusexua release.

Meanwhile, twigs has kept busy since the release of Eusexua. She was recently tapped to star as entertainer and civil rights activist Josephine Baker in a new biopic, marking her first film appearance since 2024’s The Crow.
