Flavor Flav Revealed as Space Ranger on The Masked Singer: Watch

On Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, the contestant known as Space Ranger was eliminated —but their unmasking was met with pure jubilation. Underneath the mask was Public Enemy’s very own Flavor Flav. Watch the reveal below.

During this Ghostbusters-themed episode, the masked contestants performed songs from the film series. Public Enemy’s founding hype man took on The BusBoys’ “Cleaning Up the Town.” After his performance, most of the judging panel—Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Rita Ora—correctly guessed Flavor Flav was behind the alien mask, while Ken Jeong, the lone outlier, guessed DJ Jazzy Jeff.

His reveal was met with a roar of applause with host Nick Cannon barely containing his excitement. “[This is] literally my favorite person ever… the one and only legend, Flavor Flaavvvv!” Cannon roared in the rapper’s signature inflection.

“I am my biggest fan. I love me some me. I had fun doing the show,” Flav said in his post-reveal speech. The first week of season 13, the rapper performed Taylor Swift’s 1989 track “Bad Blood,” of whom he has expressed extreme adoration for.

As of late, Flavor Flav is in his charitable era (well, and also his Swiftie era). To save Red Lobster from filing for bankruptcy, he bought the entire menu for a meal (including those Cheddar Bay Biscuits) and later starred in several commercials for the seafood chain. During the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, he sponsored the US women’s water polo team providing the team financial support to the gold medal winning team. Going forward, he signed a contract to sponsor both the men and women’s water polo teams for the next five years. He later boosted and fundraised for both Olympians and Paralympians so their families could see them compete and pay off monthly expenses like rent.

Next week, The Masked Singer heads into Group B Finals, where they’re expected to perform iconic country songs. The Masked Singer airs every Wednesday on Fox at 8:00 p.m. ET.
