Have a great week soundfisters....
And it starts with a great song that was made to be memorized in years and decades to come."Where Is Gone?" serves as Track 8 on Fontaines D.C.’s fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber (dropping October 16, 2026, via XL Recordings), and is notably the first-ever guest feature on a studio album in the band's career.Choosing Rosalia for this epic track was the best choice anyone could think of especially now that Rosalia has elevated her artistic identity to the best anyone would expect.Opening with cinematic, Ennio Morricone-esque grandeur and mid-century noir balladry, the track pits Grian Chatten’s gritty, bruised delivery directly against Rosalía’s haunting, flawless vocal phrasing. The duet sounds less like a typical indie-pop crossover and more like a lost, dark Bond theme directed by Nick Cave. Fontaines D.C. and Rosalía deliver an astonishing, spellbinding highlight that elevates the entire album and provides one of the best singles this year.
