Full of Hell and industrial artist Andrew Nolan have teamed up for the collaborative album Scraping the Divine, out November 15th. The lead single “Burdened by Solar Mass” can be streamed now.

The project is a true meeting of the industrial minds, with Full of Hell and Nolan’s uncompromising sonics colliding head on.

As heard on the aforementioned track, the artists combined traditional metal instrumentation — ostensibly the FoH side of the collab — with cryptic atmospherics and electronic textures that are reminiscent of Nolan’s prolific output. There’s a clear line drawn on “Burdened by Solar Mass” where the instruments drop out in favor of a sludgy trip-hop beat. All the while, Full of Hell’s Dylan Walker unleashes howls for the duration of the nearly three-minute piece.

“The first meeting point between Full of Hell and Andrew Nolan,” Walker said of the song via a press release. “The end product is an amalgam of mangled guitars and dub pulses and an ominous warning about our own insignificance in the universe.”

Recorded from 2019 to 2023, Scraping the Divine wasn’t just a two-way collab, as the 12-song LP features a plethora of notable guest appearances: Justin K Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, JK Flesh), Taichi Nagura (Endon), GxCx (Contagious Orgasm, BBVGC, ex-Guilty Connector), Intensive Care, and Alex Hughes (Hatred Surge, Holy Money). The album was recorded by producers Seth Manchester of Machines with Magnets and Kevin Bernsten of Developing Nations, with mixing and production led by Nolan and mastering by Nick Townsend.

Meanwhile, Full of Hell will be in the midst of their fall tour supporting Better Lovers when Scraping the Divine drops. The outing is scheduled to kick off November 3rd in Asheville, North Carolina, with Full of Hell acting as direct support through December 2nd in Mesa, Arizona. Get tickets here.
