Ghost, the subject of Consequence‘s latest cover story, kicked off their 2025 US arena tour on Wednesday night (July 9th) at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore with a career-spanning 22-song set.
The summer outing will run through an August 16th gig at Houston’s Toyota Center, making stops at such venues as New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena along the way (pick up tickets here).
As Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge (aka Papa V Perpetua) told us of the band’s shows in our cover story interview, “The concerts… are the rituals, the same way that if you go to church on Sunday, Ken will be there, and Jim Bob and his wife Kelly — all these God-fearing Americans, they’ll all be there… You’re singing psalms and hymns and there’s this community get-together where you’re being summoned. … That’s what Ghost shows are, and the songs, those are the scriptures.”
The ritual in Baltimore kicked off with “Peacefield” and “Lachryma,” two of four songs the band played from its chart-topping 2025 album Skeletá, with the other two being “Satanized” and “Umbra.” Yet, it was 2015’s Meliora — which is celebrating its 10th anniversary — that was most represented with six songs, including favorites like “Cirice” and “Majesty.”
The evening ended with an encore of three of Ghost’s most popular songs: “Mary on a Cross,” “Dance Macabre,” and
“Square Hammer,” the latter of which Heavy Consequence named the best metal song of the 2010s.
