Gladie Announce Jeff Rosenstock-Produced Album No Need to Be Lonely, Share “Future Spring”: Stream

Philadelphia-based indie rockers Gladie have announced their new album, No Need to Be Lonely, produced by Jeff Rosenstock. It’s out on March 20th via Get Better Records and features their latest single, “Future Spring.” Plus, they’ve announced a spring US tour with Saintseneca and Noun on select dates.

Marking the follow-up to their 2022 album, Don’t Know What You’re In Until You’re Out, the upcoming project was recorded with Rosenstock at Jack Shirley’s Atomic Garden studio in Oakland. In a press release, No Need to Be Lonely is described as an “exploration of the balance in contrasting ideas and the beauty found in challenging times.” Pre-orders are ongoing.

The blistering “Future Spring” contemplates that central theme, addressing how the external impact of the cruel world leads to loneliness. “I think the world would be a lot better if we encouraged each other to be kinder to themselves and by extension others,” vocalist/guitarist Augusta Koch said in a press statement. “It’s good to remind people that you are happy they’re here.”

Filmed and edited by Daniel Rosendale, the colorful music video for “Future Spring” puts this advice into practice, with Gladie’s performance at a restaurant transforming into a joyous dance party. Watch the visual treatment below.
