Glastonbury 2025: Deftones pull out of Other Stage performance, Skepta to step in

Deftones have pulled out of their Glastonbury 2025 performance – Skepta‘s stepping in as a short-notice replacement.

Glastonbury took to social media on Saturday afternoon (June 28) to share that Deftones have been “forced to cancel tonight’s 8.30pm Other Stage performance due to illness in the band.”

However, they’ve found a short-notice replacement in the form of Skepta, who will take to the stage at 9pm. He said in a statement via Glasto: “Let’s go!!! No crew, no production but am ready to shut Glastonbury down. Victory lap time. Pre-Big Smoke 2025!”

Deftones have been forced to cancel tonight's 8.30pm Other Stage performance due to illness in the band.

Skepta will kindly step-in, taking the stage at 9pm.

Ezra Collective, who were scheduled to perform on the Other Stage from 6.45pm until 7.45pm before Deftones will now have an additional 30 minutes until 8:15pm.

So far, Glastonbury 2025 has seen a surprise set from Lorde – who performed her new album ‘Virgin’ in full (and scored a five star review in the process), a spunky set from Wet Leg, Lewis Capaldi’s triumphant return for a secret set at the Pyramid Stage, a surprise appearance by Peter Capaldi at Franz Ferdinand’s set and more.

The 1975 headlined the Pyramid Stage last night (June 27), earning a four-star review from NME, which read: “With their one show of the year, “The 1975 from the Internet” clear the decks on their career so far to deliver a reminder of their chops for tunes and showmanship away from the headlines.”
