Folk icon Neil Young has closed out the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2025 on Saturday (June 28) – here’s everything he performed.

Earlier on Saturday (June 28), the BBC announced that it was going to be live-streaming Young’s set on the iPlayer after previously leaving it off their coverage plans “at the artist’s request” just a few days earlier.

Just hours later, Young and The Chrome Hearts took to the Pyramid Stage as the final performers of the night – Young kicked off his set with an acoustic rendition of ‘Sugar Mountain’, before he was joined by The Chrome Hearts for Crazy Horse‘s ‘Be The Rain’.

After a brief introduction, Young and the band dove into a trio of rock classics: ‘Cinnamon Girl’, ‘Fuckin’ Up’ and ‘Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)’. He then slowed things down with a pair of acoustic songs ‘The Needle and the Damage Done’ and his 1992 hit ‘Harvest Moon’.

Neil Young and co also played a number of lengthy tunes in full, such as the over 10-minute cuts ‘Sun Green’ and ‘Love and Only Love’. He also broke out the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young track ‘Name Of Love’ before ending his set with the ‘Harvest’ hit ‘Old Man’ and 1991’s ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’ and ‘Throw Your Hatred Down’ as an encore.

Neil Young’s Glastonbury 2025 setlist was:

‘Sugar Mountain’
‘Be The Rain’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘When You Dance I Can Really Love’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘Cinnamon Girl’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘Fuckin’ Up’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘The Needle and the Damage Done’
‘Harvest Moon’
‘Looking Forward’
‘Sun Green’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘Love and Only Love’ (Crazy Horse song)
‘Like A Hurricane’
‘Name Of Love’ (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song)
‘Old Man’
‘Rockin’ In The Free World’
‘Throw Your Hatred Down’

Young’s headlining performance has gone over well with fans on social media. Check out a handful of reactions below.

Neil Young’s Glasto set came after a semi-tumultuous road – around the end of last year, the icon made he shared a statement with fans, confirming that he was set to perform at Glastonbury as a headliner (before the official line-up was announced) –  but had pulled out due to creative differences, due in part to the BBC’s partnership with the festival, which he called a “corporate turn-off”.

Just days later, he would go back on this decision and describe it as a misunderstanding. “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved,” he said. “Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!”

Elsewhere at Glastonbury, Friday saw The 1975 headline the Pyramid Stage, earning a four-star review from NME, which read: “With their one show of the year, “The 1975 from the Internet” clear the decks on their career so far to deliver a reminder of their chops for tunes and showmanship away from the headlines.”

Sunday will see sets from Olivia RodrigoThe Prodigy, Turnstile, Rod Stewart and many more. Check out the full line-up and schedule here.

In other news, the BBC have also confirmed that they will be streaming Neil Young‘s headline set, after Kneecap’s incendiary set was removed from the live-stream schedule at the last minute and will instead be made available as an on-demand clip later on.
