Gorilla Biscuits & Orange 9MM announce CBGB Fest pre-show + other dates

CBGB was known for hardcore matinees as much as it was known for the birth of punk and other things, so it’s fitting that a hardcore show that could have happened at CBGB will also now happen as part of the upcoming CBGB Fest, and at a Manhattan venue not that far away from where CBGB was. The night before the main event in Greenpoint, on Friday, September 26 at Racket, is the official pre-show, with Gorilla Biscuits, Orange 9mm, Shutdown (celebrating 25 years of Few and Far Between), Deadshot, and one more to be announced. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 8 at 12 PM ET.

CBGB Fest happens on Saturday, September 27 at Under the K Bridge, and the lineup includes Iggy Pop, Jack White, Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, The Damned, Johnny Marr, Lunachicks, Marky Ramone, Angel Du$t, Cro-Mags, Destroy Boys, Gorilla Biscuits, Lambrini Girls, The Linda Lindas, Melvins, Murphy’s Law, Scowl, Teen Mortgage, Lip Critic, Pinkshift, Soul Glo, and YHWH Nailgun. Tickets are on sale now.

Gorilla Biscuits have more shows lined up through the fall, including West Coast dates with Circle Jerks and Negative Approach. Another band Walter Schreifels is in, Rival Schools, are on tour on the East Coast this month (including Garwood, NJ’s Crossroads on August 12), and they’ll be on the West Coast in the fall for Best Friends Forever and more shows surrounding it.

Orange 9mm released their first song in 26 years in June, and they’ll film a music video for it at their show at Gold Sounds on August 7. That’s with NYC Shootout, Activator, and a DJ set from Aguapanelamami. Tickets are on sale now.
