Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong has announced a limited-edition Radiant Red Epiphone guitar and his first Artist Signature amplifier with Marshall. READ MORE: Green Day – ‘Saviors’ review: their best work since ‘American Idiot’ The new Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior has been developed with the musician and offers a bright red version of the stripped-back guitar model that has helped define his sound for more than two decades. Available for a limited time, the guitar features a single-cutaway mahogany body, a set mahogany neck with a substantial ’50s Vintage profile and a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. In keeping with Armstrong’s no-frills approach, it has just one Epiphone P-90 PRO pickup and two controls – master volume and tone – along with a nickel-plated Lightning Bar wraparound bridge. A reproduction of Armstrong’s signature appears on the back of the headstock, while the guitar comes with a custom black hardshell case featuring a leopard-print interior.
