Guitarist Nita Strauss Expecting First Child

Congratulations are in order for guitarist Nita Strauss, who’s expecting her first child with husband Josh Villalta.

The Alice Cooper band member and solo artist shared the happy news on Thursday via Instagram along with a photo of the couple holding up a sonogram image, while revealing that she is having a baby boy.

She wrote, “Looks like 2026 will be the best year yet. We’ve waited so long for this miracle and now the time is finally here! He will come into this world surrounded by so much love! So excited to meet our little man this summer.”

Villalta, who plays drums in Strauss’ solo band and also serves as her manager, proposed to Nita onstage during her record release party in Los Angeles in July 2023. The pair were married in May 2024 at L.A.’s Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, where Nita and Josh performed onstage alongside wedding guests Alice Cooper and Disturbed’s David Draiman, among others.

Strauss, who made Consequence‘s list of the 100 Best Guitarists of All Time, toured extensively with Cooper in 2025. She’s been a member of his solo band since 2014, taking a brief break in 2022 to join pop star Demi Lovato’s touring band.
