HAIM has returned with “Relationships,” their first new song since 2023.
With a breezy alt-pop vibe, “Relationships” sees the sisters muse on the woes of coupledom, coming to a head with the line “I hear a voice in my head and it keeps asking/ ‘Why am I in this relationship?’” Watch the song’s accompanying music video, starring the Haim sisters with actor Drew Starkey, and directed by Camille Summers-Valli, below.
“Relationships” marks the first release from HAIM since 2023, when they contributed the song “Home” to the Barbie soundtrack and issued a 10th anniversary edition of their debut album, Days Are Gone.
HAIM’s most recent full-length album was 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III. Since then, a fourth LP has been highly anticipated — while concrete details still aren’t available, hopefully the new single is a sign that more could be on the way.
Meanwhile, the sisters are booked for a handful of upcoming live performances, including three dates at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles next month, as well as sets at New Orleans Jazz Festival and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain and Porto, Portugal.
