Halestorm have unleashed the title track from their upcoming album, Everest, set for release on August 8th. The anthemic song is accompanied by a music video that can be streamed below.

“Our song ‘Everest’ is the summit of everything we’ve fought for — every scream, every scar, every triumph,” stated Halestorm singer-guitarist Lzzy Hale. “This album is us, louder and bolder, and more brutally honest than ever, standing tall in the face of the storm.”

The track starts out with Lzzy talk-singing the verses before showcasing her powerhouse pipes in the chorus. Guitarist Joe Hottinger gets a spotlight early on in the song with a solo at that begins roughly a minute and a half into the tune.

The song “Everest” follows the album’s first single, “Darkness Always Wins,” which is currently rising up the rock radio chart. The band also debuted other songs from the album during their set at the Welcome to Rockville festival earlier this month.

Halestorm have an extensive tour schedule in support of Everest. They are currently opening for Iron Maiden in Europe, and will hit the road with Volbeat for a summer US outing. After that, Halestorm will headline their own North American tour in the early fall, followed by a headlining UK/European run in the late fall.
