The 17-track drop, which fans dubbed Ego after the name of the hair dye, came just days after Hayley Williams premiered a new track, "Mirtazapine" via Nashville radio station WNXP, and performed the track with Bleachers at Newport Folk Festival.
Fans who bought the dye were given a code to access Hayley Williams' website, which then revealed a homepage designed to look like an '00s desktop, featuring 17 brand new solo songs. Just 48 hours later, Williams took down the website, and uploaded a message that read: "Thank you for listening".

The release follows Hayley Williams' two solo albums, Petals For Armor, and Flowers For Vases (Descansos). Williams recently collaborated with Moses Sumney on "I Like It I Like It", as well as Turnstile & Blood Orange on "SEEIN’ STARS". She is also set to feature on Jay Som's forthcoming album, Belong, and David Byrne's first full-length release in seven years, Who Is the Sky?.
