Hotel EDC Brought Added Immersion to EDC Las Vegas’ 30th Anniversary

Hotel EDC took over Virgin Hotels Las Vegas for the second year, with Insomniac and Vibee expanding the experience to be even more fun for headliners.

This year’s edition of EDC Las Vegas was one for the history books as the festival reached its milestone 30th anniversary. Insomniac had plenty planned for those who made their way to Sin City to check out all the festival had to offer, but they also curated some fun experiences for those seeking added immersion. This included the return of Hotel EDC, which was brought to life in partnership with Vibee and enabled headliners staying near The Strip to embrace everything there is to love about Electric Daisy Carnival.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which debuted as the new home for Hotel EDC last year, returned as the host for the 2026 edition. After staying there in 2025 and falling in love with the resort’s complete takeover, the decision to return was met with open arms. While not directly on The Strip, this hotel is close enough to feel its energy, which allows it to offer amenities like free parking that have since bit the dust elsewhere.

The Hotel EDC immersion began from the moment you stepped onto the property.

From the front doors of the hotel and casino and bar area in the lobby to the interior walls and other decor scattered about, you could tell instantly that you weren’t staying at a normal resort during EDC Las Vegas. Of course, a DJ was spinning beats as well, providing the perfect soundtrack to get everyone hyped while they waited in line to check in or played the nearby slots and table games.

The check-in process shifted a bit this year, with Hotel EDC guests now having a separate area to chat with Vibee representatives instead of waiting in line in the main hotel lobby.

This line did swell during peak times, but for the most part, it seemed efficient for guests arriving and getting hyped for their upcoming EDCLV experience. Room keys and Headliner Party Packs, with an option between a green or pink EYECON plushie, were passed out during that time. Other items in the party pack included two Hotel EDC cups, socks, a bucket hat, and the signature robes that were as comfy as ever.

Additionally, Hotel EDC guests were given a wristband for access to the pool parties and a lanyard to wear for Headliner HQ access. Why the wristband alone couldn’t have granted access to both areas didn’t make much sense to me, but it also made fellow EDCLV attendees easier to spot while hanging out throughout the resort.

One of the standout art pieces at Hotel EDC was The Almighty Wall. This modular sculpture piece was created by Tef Foo, a true OG member of the scene who started raving back in the ’90s. Inspired by the “wall of sound” that was central to early warehouse raves, the art piece was signed off by Pasquale Rotella himself and speaks to the ethos of the rave: unity through sound. Its placement near Headliner HQ was a perfect fit, and I can’t wait to see it continue to expand to other Insomniac experiences.

As for the rooms, they were all decked out in the same way as previous years, with Hotel EDC pillow cases and a pashmina on each bed. The beds in our room were comfy as ever, and there was plenty of space for guests to kick it with their friends or get ready for the night ahead.

The on-site parties taking place during EDC Week were the perfect way to kick off the weekend and relax for a bit before heading to the festival each day.

This year saw a bit more emphasis on Thursday arrival, with a pool party featuring Korolova kicking off early in the day and Bassrush Massive returning for an evening soiree. We were a bit rushed that day because the World Party Parade was happening right at the end of the pool party, but we still spent some time checking it out. That said, I do feel like it would be cool to have some sort of night swim on Thursday at the official pool, as it would surely draw a larger crowd since everyone would be settled in.

Last year, the pool parties drew fairly small, intimate crowds due to their exclusivity, as only Hotel EDC guests and ticket holders were allowed to attend. This year, Insomniac made all of the pool parties free with RSVP for anyone who wanted to check them out, which brought in some added attendance, but it still remained fairly chill throughout the weekend.

Notable performances at The Pool included ALPHA 9 and ilan Bluestone during the Dreamstate takeover on Friday, BOLO on Saturday, and Whethan and Mary Droppinz on Sunday. There was nothing better than catching these great sets while sipping on a BACARDI cocktail and putting your feet in the real sand, which was extra therapeutic after being at the festival each night.

If you were heading to EDC Las Vegas from Hotel EDC, you had a few options to choose from.

While a shuttle pass for the premier shuttle that leaves from Hotel EDC still wasn’t included in the package, nor was it an add-on, many attendees opted to take that route to the festival. Those driving had an easy shot straight toward Las Vegas Blvd, with side streets allowing them to skip much of the general traffic. Meanwhile, the private car service picked up and dropped off at Hotel EDC this year, making it even easier for those looking to splurge on a seamless form of transportation.

The only real snag during the experience was the lack of food options and the new meal voucher system.

There were quite a few different options for places to eat at Hotel EDC, but not a ton of variety, especially when you were trying to use the meal vouchers. This year also saw a change to the meal vouchers: instead of having physical dollars to spend at different places throughout your stay, you had to activate a digital voucher via email each day.

In theory, this saved a lot of time that was wasted last year waiting for the vouchers, but it caused a number of headaches due to registration issues. One of our team members never received any vouchers over the weekend, even after we were assured it would be fixed, while other friends staying there reported issues that led them to contact support. It would make far more sense for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to offer a $30 daily room credit based on purchases rather than jumping through all these hoops, but perhaps that isn’t possible with their system.

The options for meal vouchers boiled down to Kitchen, which was only open for breakfast and offered a very limited choice at its fast-food counter: burgers and salads for lunch, and Lucia, the Mexican food spot, which opened for lunch and dinner. The Juice Bar, Funny Library, and Shag Room were either closed when I passed by or don’t serve food.

Kassi Beach House, arguably my favorite spot to grab a bite, was not included in the meal voucher system. Nobu and ONE Steakhouse were also not included, nor was Pizza Forte, the 24-hour fast-casual Italian spot that actually would make the most sense to be on there. Of course, Dunkin’ Donuts was not part of the voucher system either.

Although this could be improved and made more seamless in the future, I wouldn’t consider it a dealbreaker, as the rest of the experience was fantastic.

Hotel EDC is one of the coolest lodging options during EDC Las Vegas, and you should consider it if you’re looking for added immersion.

Looking back, I had a great time at Hotel EDC this year. The rooms were perfect, the pool parties and other activities throughout the resort were fun, and getting some proper sleep before heading back to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway each day was also a blessing.

The tips I shared last year still hold true. Checking in on Thursday and checking out on Tuesday is the absolute move if you can afford the time off. If you’re staying at Hotel EDC, be prepared to buy the shuttle pass as soon as it goes on sale. And if you’re bringing the Headliner Party Pack items home with you, make sure you leave enough room in your luggage, because you receive quite a few items.

Whether you’re a die-hard raver looking for your next splurge or someone who wants an immersive experience, Hotel EDC is the lodging option for you. Details surrounding next year’s edition, which will see the festival expand to two weeks, are set to arrive soon, so keep your eyes peeled for those announcements to roll out.
