How to Get the Lord of the Rings War Hammer Popcorn Bucket

The new Lord of the Rings movie, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is set to open in theaters nationwide on December 13th, 2024. Accompanying the anime film will be a special treat for novelty-collecting fans: a true-to-size, war hammer-shaped popcorn bucket.

That’s right, matching the trend set by recent films like Despicable Me 4, Wicked, Gladiator II, and more, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is throwing its hat in the popcorn bucket ring with a 27-inch-long war hammer that’s a replica of the weapon in the film. One side of the hammer’s face will open, revealing a hollow compartment for a big bowl of popcorn.

To get one of the Lord of the Rings war hammer popcorn buckets yourself, all you have to do is make it to an AMC Theater, where you can purchase one for $32.99 while supplies last. Alternatively, the war hammer popcorn bucket has already begun to pop up on eBay.

If you’re a novelty item fan who finds a two-foot war hammer to be too cumbersome, you can pick up a limited-edition faux-wood stein with the War of the Rohirrim logo on it. Those will be retailing at AMC for $21.99, and come with a large soda. See a photo of the stein below.

First announced in 2021, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be an anime-style animated film set in Middle-earth 200 years before the events of The Hobbit. The cast is led by Succession’s Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, Miranda Otto, and others.
