I Promised the World announce tour, including dates with Skycamefalling, End It & more

2 weeks ago 9

I Promised the World (fka Sinema) have been stirring up a lot of chatter ever since signing to Rise and releasing their new single “Bliss In 7 Languages,” which–between the song itself, the upcoming EP artwork, and the band’s fashion sense–has the sound and aesthetic of early 2000s post-hardcore/metalcore bands like Poison The Well, Hopesfall, Alexisonfire, et al. down pat. They’ve recently done tours supporting Deafheaven and Koyo, and now they announced a headlining tour with support from their Ephyra-signed Texas neighbors Rosasharin.

The tour also includes two shows with one of the bands that helped pioneer the kind of post-hardcore/metalcore that IPTW are reviving, Long Island metalcore/post-hardcore veterans Skycamefalling, and those happen in NJ at Maggie’s on January 16 and in Brooklyn at Market Hotel on January 17.

The Philly stop also finds this tour crossing paths with the newly-announced End It / Whispers tour, which makes for a killer four-band bill at the First Unitarian Church on January 15.

The End It/Whispers tour also has its own NYC stop (January 16 at Elsewhere), and both of these tours are surrounding FYA Fest. Check out the posters for both tours below.

I Promised the World’s self-titled EP comes out January 16 via Rise. Read more about “Bliss In 7 Languages” in our list of the best punk songs of November.
