Japanese Breakfast has announced her first new album in four years. Produced by Blake Mills, For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women) arrives March 21 via Dead Oceans. Michelle Zauner hasalso shared the lead single from the album, “Orlando in Love” which comes with a lyric video that you can watch below.

This spring, Japanese Breakfast will head out on tour in support of the new album. Beginning with performances at both weekends of the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the tour will then bring Japanese Breakfast across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe, with a number of other music festival stops along the way. It’s currently set to end on September 9 in Minneapolis, and Ginger Root will open most of the North American shows. Find the full list of tour dates below.

For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women) is Japanese Breakfast’s fourth studio album, following the 2021 full-length Jubilee. That same year, Zauner released her video game soundtrack, Sable, and her best-selling memoir, Crying in H Mart, which is being adapted into a movie directed by White Lotus and A Real Pain star Will Sharpe. A few months ago, Zauner also released a song for the Marvel show Agatha All Along.
