"Dolphins" is the latest preview of Jenny Hollingworth's solo endeavour under the moniker Jenny On Holiday. Hollingworth — who is also known as one-half of experimental pop duo Let's Eat Grandma — released her debut single "Every Ounce Of Me" last month, offering a teaser of what to expect from Quicksand Heart.
“I used to get this feeling that everyone had hearts made of different materials — and I felt like mine was a bit defective. I feel like my heart and my head are all made from the wrong things. That image is about wanting to be loved, and to love and live as a human does, despite the fact you’re maybe like the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz," Hollingworth says of the vision that inspired Quicksand Heart.
"I’m so excited by the pop format — to be able to put something emotionally complex into this simple, accessible form."
To celebrate the release of "Dolphins", an intimate karaoke party will be held at a secret location in central London on 23 October. Fans can sign up for a chance to attend, with winners to be announced on 17 October.
