It's not only Rosalia who's rising on the music world. Judeline is no stranger to the blog and she was highlighted before. Her real name is Lara Fernández Castrelo raised in Andalusia and her music is strongly influenced by her roots. With her new single Judeline takes a daring risk on "La Falda" anchored by a sample of Yann Tiersen’s iconic Amélie theme ("J'y suis jamais allé").Underneath the signature 808 thuds and classic reggaeton swing, warm flamenco guitar chops keep the track rooted in her signature sound. Judeline’s vocals float effortlessly over the beat, shifting between airy, whisper-soft melodies and slick rhythmic phrasing. The contrast between European film-score nostalgia and urban Latin syncopation gives the track an intoxicating energy. The song made quite an impression this week and was listed as one of the best new single releases. It needs to be heard and expand.
