Julia Fox shares “regret” on dating Kanye West: “I was being used as a pawn”

Julia Fox has admitted she regrets entering a relationship with Kanye West, which she says put her in “probably the most uncomfortable position in my life”.

Fox and West dated briefly in 2022, not long after West’s marriage to Kim Kardashian ended.

Now, Fox has said that she never wanted to make the relationship public but was nonetheless used as a “pawn” during their time together.

“I regret that relationship so much. I hate it!” she told The Times. “It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime. I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that’s saying a lot. I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend.

“It wasn’t my idea for it to go public. If anything, I was like, ‘We should wait,’ and then boom, it was done behind my back. I realised pretty quickly I was being used as a pawn.”

The relationship ended when Fox refused to sign West’s non-disclosure agreement. “I can’t be friends with you if you don’t sign it,” he told her over text to which she replied: “I’ll live.”

“I really credit my son for being my grounding force,” Fox continued. “It was like, ‘I can’t go down this spiral because no man, no matter how rich or famous, is worth one minute away from my child.’”

She added that she doesn’t hold onto any resentment towards West himself.

“I’m not about to hold a grudge and make my life miserable because I’m still angry about something,” she said. “At some point you have to forgive and move on, because you think you’re hurting the other person but you’re really just hurting yourself.”

In other news, West’s ex-assistant has alleged he sexually assaulted her in a newly expanded lawsuit.

In June, Lauren Pisciotta sued him for sexual harassment and wrongful termination, with court documents obtained by Page Six claiming he created a hostile work environment by sending multiple inappropriate text messages during her employment. She also accused West of locking her in a room with him and masturbating next to her, amongst other instances of alleged sexual harassment.

At the time, West responded to the claims in a statement made to Rolling Stone via his legal representative, calling Pisciotta’s accusations “baseless”, and announcing he planned to countersue.

News of the amended suit emerged only days after West was sued by a former employee, who claimed that the rapper hired him to spy on the Kardashians, follow his wife Bianca Censori and more.
