Kaskade made a splash during his standout performances at Coachella’s Sahara stage by showcasing new music and announcing his upcoming album Origin //.
Few artists have captivated Coachella crowds quite like Kaskade has over the years. The ARKADE boss first performed at the Sahara during the height of the EDM boom in 2012, then returned in 2015 with a Main Stage performance that drew 90,000 fans. Last year, he headed back to the festival for a unique back-to-back Redux performance on the Quasar stage with Idris Elba that left the crowd stunned. Flash forward to this month, and Kaskade returned to the Sahara once again to deliver two showstopping performances, capping off the second weekend by announcing his forthcoming album Origin //.
While Kaskade’s sets were littered with some of his biggest classics like “Eyes,” “I Remember,” and “Disarm You,” fans were treated to a ton of new music throughout both weekends. During his first performance, the legendary artist brought out BUNT., who had taken the stage there earlier in the day, as well as Crankdat, to showcase two of the freshest collaborations he had in his arsenal. While the former leaned into a more dancefloor-ready house groove, Kaskade’s collaboration with Crankdat packed a punch with some heavier bass.
“We got Kaskade making dubstep before GTA6,” Crankdat said into the mic as he joined him on stage. The crowd erupted with cheers in response.
Natalie Major would join Kaskade for a live performance of their collaborative tune with Layton Giordani, “Meet Again,” to bring the first weekend to a close. On the second weekend, Brienna Grace and Lavern swapped in as the special guests to showcase their IDs with the ARKADE boss. Those weren’t the only fresh tunes that he unloaded on the crowd throughout the set, as “Runaway” with Kaitlin Aragon and “UV” with Sarah de Warren also received play.
As Kaskade closed out his Coachella run, “New Album Origin // Summer 2026″ flashed on the Sahara’s screens, which was then posted on X soon after to confirm it for the rest of his fans around the world. This resolved the mystery behind the billboard many saw while driving to the desert on the way to the festival, which was plastered with the album’s name.
While details are limited on what’s to come on this new album from Kaskade, it’s clear he used his Coachella performances this year to showcase the upcoming tunes that will find a home on it. If that’s the case, then fans can expect a genre-defying release that will usher in a new era for the legendary artist.
