BABYMETAL got a viral boost this week thanks to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West, who, along with a couple of other girls, dressed up as the Japanese pop-metallers for Halloween.
A few clips were uploaded to Kim and North’s shared TikTok of North fangirling in her BABYMETAL-style outfit. Flanked by a couple friends (we think?) to complete BABYMETAL’s core trio, North takes on the role of lead singer Su-Metal, dancing and lip syncing to the band’s music.
North made sure to tag BABYMETAL in the clips, which have already generated millions of views and thousands of likes, as is the case with most of the content posted to the popular TikTok account.
The free publicity adds to a highly successful 2025 campaign for BABYMETAL, highlighted by the release of their new album METAL FORTH. The LP features star-studded collabs with Tom Morello, Poppy, and Slaughter to Prevail, among others, and its first week sales led to BABYMETAL becoming the first all-Japanese group to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
Next up, the pop-metal sensations will put an exclamation point on the year with a massive headlining gig on Saturday, November 1st, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles (get tickets here). We’ll bet that North West is in attendance, if not side stage.
