In September, Ladytron returned with "I Believe In You." It turns out that's the opening track of their just-announced new album Paradises, arriving next year. Today, the Liverpool synth-pop crew is sharing another preview with "Kingdom Undersea."
Paradises follows 2023's Time's Arrow, and it was produced by the group's Daniel Hunt and mixed by Jim Abbiss. Hunt says, "Every time I went into the studio, I'd come out after an hour with a new track. The key motivation was fun. Everything became fun again."
"There's an itch we never scratched," he continues, "which is that despite our origins in the DJ world, we never actually made a 'disco' record. Albeit, 'disco' in our context has a somewhat different meaning."
