Little Girl Literally Surfs on Top of Crowd-Surfing Dad at Metal Fest: Watch

A young fan and her father had the time of their lives at last month’s Inkcarceration Festival, as the little girl surfed on top of her crowd-surfing dad during the Ohio metal gathering.

In one of the handful of clips circulating, the dad is being guided across the crowd flat on his back while his daughter stands on his chest, quite literally surfing on him over the crowd.

He makes sure to hold both her legs so she doesn’t fall, and the crowd — despite being incited by the riffs of reunited sludge-metal band Acid Bath — does a remarkable job of getting the dad to the front barrier without any issues. A team effort all around.

Still, we’ll file this one under “don’t try this at home” — or at your local metal show, where the crowd might be a bit more rowdy and sparse (crowd-surfing really only works when the audience is packed in, like at a festival set).

In another clip, the dad takes his daughter into the circle pit — an even more inadvisable place for a young person — though he manages to keep her safe as she piggybacks on his shoulders. It’s also worth noting that as far as circle pits go, this one is as tame as they come. More of a circle walk.

And yet another video shows the same girl surfing on top of her dad during Slaughter to Prevail’s set at Inkcarceration, while an additional clip has her in a different outfit, suggesting she and her dad pulled off this stunt on multiple days during the fest.
