Lucy Dacus has returned to where it all began and announced a 10th anniversary reissue of her debut album, No Burden, while also sharing the previously unreleased fan favorite “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye.” Stream it below. Written during the No Burden era, the song has occasionally surfaced in the singer-songwriter’s live sets without ever receiving an official release. She has performed it sporadically over the years, including as recently as July. Sharp and wavy, it unfolds with the effortless intimacy that put her on the map. The restrained arrangement makes a strong case for less is more, yet it occupies all the space it is afforded.
