Madonna Releases “Danceteria” Rework with Charli xcx: Stream

Madonna has released a new remix of her Confessions II song “Danceteria” featuring Charli xcx. Dubbed “Danceteria Afterhours,” the song finds the partygirls of past and present linking up and celebrating each other. “You wanna talk about Madonna and Charli?” Charli asks on the new remix. She proceeds to give a quick nod to her own origin story, similar to how Madonna touches on the development of her own club-centric persona in the original “Danceteria.” She also takes the second verse to acknowledge her career shift in 2015 with “A.G. and SOPHIE” before linking back up with Madonna for a final cathartic chorus.
