Metallica To Kick Off 2025 “M72” North American Tour

Metallica are set to launch their 2025 North American tour on Saturday (April 19th) at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. The outing runs through June 29th in Denver, and features a stacked rotating support cast including Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills.

Tickets for Metallica’s 2025 North American “M72” tour are now on sale via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for last-minute deals or get tickets to sold-out concerts via StubHub, where your purchase is 110% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

As has been the case for the past couple years, Metallica’s “M72 Tour” sees the thrash legends continuing their “No Repeat Weekend” format where they play two completely unique sets over two nights in a single city. However, for this leg, Metallica will also play one-night-only concerts in certain cities (Syracuse, Blacksburg, Landover, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Houston).

Those single-city shows will still feature the full production and massive in-the-round stage setup seen on Metallica’s “No Repeat Weekend” dates. Meanwhile, the thrash legends will play the two-night stand format in Toronto, Nashville, Columbus (as part of the Sonic Temple fest), Philadelphia, Tampa, Houston, Santa Clara, and Denver.

As for the openers, Pantera are returning as direct support on select dates after opening shows on the 2024 “M72” tour. The reunited thrashers will be paired with Suicidal Tendencies for 12 shows on the upcoming run, with the other six dates featuring support from Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills.

Concertgoers have a couple things to add their itinerary in each city before the gig. Metallica partnered with the Red Cross to host blood drives in numerous cities along the route (there’s a free exclusive shirt in it for those who donate blood). Plus, the band’s new fan-centric documentary Metallica Saved My Life is being screened in each city except Columbus, not to mention guitarist Kirk Hammett will appear at events surrounding his new coffee-table book The Collection: Kirk Hammett.
