Miss Chile Ignacia Fernández Delivers Crushing Death Metal Performance at Miss World Competition

Ignacia Fernández, the beauty pageant contestant who last year was named Miss World Chile, brought her death-metal vocal talents to the global stage by performing her band Decessus’ original song “The Hollow Descent” during the talent competition of the Miss World competition. In November 2025, Fernández won the Miss World Chile pageant after shocking the audience with an original song by Decessus. Now, she’s representing Chile in the Miss World competition in Vietnam, performing “The Hollow Descent” on Tuesday evening at the Children’s Culture Center in Nha Trang. While she didn’t win the talent competition, losing out to Miss World England Grace Richardson’s rendition of “Over the Rainbow,” she still has a chance at the overall title. Following the performance, Fernández took to Instagram to share the video and write, “A moment I’ll never forget.
