As its name suggests, Miss Monique’s “Biorhythm” audiovisual live show merges organic and synthetic themes.
Miss Monique is taking a bold step forward with her artist project. Several years after she emerged as a prominent fixture of the post-pandemic dance music landscape, she’s shared plans to make a lasting statement with an audiovisual live show called “Biorhythm.”
Miss Monique (real name Alesia Arkusha) will debut the concept at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires on October 3. The location was chosen because of Arkusha’s diehard fan base in and around the city, where she’s sold out numerous shows. She has spent the past year fine-tuning “Biorhythm,” which looks to surround otherwise mechanical stage elements with natural imagery.
“The world around us becomes more industrial every day — filled with metal, concrete, technology, endless movement, and noise,” said Arkusha of “Biorhythm.” “I hope that Biorhythm shows that even inside this reality, nature never disappears. For every robot-driven car on our streets, nature still finds its way through structures, through light, through air, through us. It gives us hope for our future, and for generations to come.”
In the coming weeks, Arkusha will announce additional shows in France, Belgium, and North America.
Born in central Ukraine, Arkusha and her family moved to Kyiv when she was eight years old. She started clubbing at age 16, and by the mid 2010s, she counted official releases on Freegrant Music among her accomplishments. After Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she relocated to Portugal, where she currently resides.
Once on sale, tickets to Miss Monique’s “Biorhythm” debut at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires can be purchased via BOMBO.
