Modest Mouse Announce New Album An Eraser and a Maze, Fall 2026 Tour Dates

1 hour ago 3

Modest Mouse have announced their new album, An Eraser and a Maze, due out June 5th via Glacial Pace and Virgin Records. They’ve also expanded their upcoming North American tour with an additional leg of headlining dates that will keep them on the road through the fall.

Ahead of the album’s release, the band has unveiled a new single, “Picking Dragon’s Pockets.” This is the second single from An Erase and a Maze after “Look How Far. . .” was unveiled in March.

Modest Mouse began working on the new collection of songs immediately following 2021’s The Golden Casket, according to an announcement. With six songs that could have formed an EP, the band’s mastermind, Isaac Brock, considered releasing them under his side project, Ugly Casanova, but ultimately decided on creating a new Modest Mouse album.

“For this one, I just tried being real honest with myself,” Brock said. “Even though every goddamn musician says that when they put out a record. I mean, go ahead and listen to the three-minute mark of any interview between a musician and Terry Gross.”

Modest Mouse will mark 30 years as a band in 2026. The band already confirmed a string of headline dates and festival appearances to take place throughout the summer; they’ve now expanded their itinerary to include additional dates throughout September and October. Tickets for these newly announced dates will do on sale beginning Friday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
