Moneyball Receives New 4K Ultra HD Release for 15th Anniversary

Moneyball has been released in 4K Ultra HD to celebrate the Brad Pitt-starring film’s 15th anniversary.

Sourced from a 4K master, the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment release presents the film in SDR with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. Extras include three deleted scenes, a blooper reel with Pitt and Jonah Hill, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a theatrical trailer. Get your copy here.

Adapted from Michael Lewis’ 2003 book, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, the Bennett Miller-directed film stars Pitt as Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, who changed sports forever with his advanced metrics approach to identifying and signing undervalued players to affordable contracts.

Written by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, Moneyball also stars Hill as Beane’s assistant Peter Brand, Philip Seymour Hoffman as A’s manager Art Howe, Robin Wright as Sharon Beane, and Chris Pratt as catcher Scott Hatteberg. The film received six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Screenplay.
