Powerhouse International, the new fall performing arts festival from Brooklyn’s Powerhouse Arts, is underway now, and Tuesday brought Moor Mother and Pussy Riot to the space for performances in the round. The evening began with a conversation between Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova and Laurie Anderson, and next Moor Mother took the stage with for the live debut of her Translations Quintet, featuring Patrick Shiroishi, Diego Gaeta and Mekala Session (also 2/3 of Human Error Club), and V.C.R. (VtheMartian aka Veronica Camille Ratliff). That was followed by a solo set from Tolokonnikova, and then a performance from Pussy Riot.
