Motörhead’s 2006 album Kiss of Death is getting a deluxe reissue, due out July 3rd via BMG.
The announcement comes along with a new lyric video for the remastered “God Was Never on Your Side,” as well as a live version of “Killed by Death” (both streaming below).
Kiss of Death features the three-piece lineup of Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee, and includes appearances by Alice in Chains’ Mike Inez and Poison’s C.C. DeVille.
The reissue of Kiss of Death features the album remastered at half-speed from the original tapes, with new liner notes from Classic Rock’s Dave Ling in honor of Campbell, who passed away on March 13th of this year. The release also sees the inclusion of a live album titled Live at Lowlands, 2007, recorded in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands.
The CD version of the album adds three bonus tracks: both a studio and live version of “R.A.M.O.N.E.S.” as well as Motörhead’s cover of “Whiplash,” originally by Metallica.
Consequence recently named Motörhead one of our 10 bands that also deserve a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction following the announcement that Iron Maiden are being inducted this year.
