Netflix has released a new trailer previewing its upcoming documentary about Travis Scott’s deadly Astroworld festival in 2021. Titled The Astroworld Tragedy, it’s part of the streamer’s Trainwreck anthology series, which first explored Woodstock ’99 in 2022. Watch the clip below.
Co-directed by Yemi Bamiro (Fight the Power: How Hip-Hop Changed the World) and Hannah Poulter (Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn), Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy features footage shot by festivalgoers, 911 call audio, and interviews with survivors and families of victims.
“On November 5, 2021, Travis Scott stepped on stage to perform his set at Astroworld: what would have been the best night of the festivalgoers’ lives quickly turned into a catastrophe that left 10 of them dead,” reads the official logline. “The Astroworld Tragedy takes an exclusive look at that night, told from the perspective of the survivors, paramedics, and security staff that were at the center of this catastrophe.”
Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy premieres June 10th on Netflix.
