This weekend, Olivia Rodrigo is slated to pull a double duty on SNL to celebrate her upcoming record, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which is out in June. In a promo yesterday, the singer parodied The Devil Wears Prada. In tonight's, she kills SNL cast member Ashley Padilla.
The clip begins with the comedian telling the pop star that she got her driver's license last week... because she's banned from the subway. She also says she lost a lot of money betting against Rodrigo winning the 2022 Billboard Music Woman Of The Year Award. "Who did you bet on?" Rodrigo asks. "The KPop Demon Hunters band. I guess I was a few years early on that one," Padilla answers. The promo ends with Rodrigo strangling Padilla after Padilla says she's afraid of what happens after we die. At Rodrigo's hands, Padilla promptly drops dead, serving as apt promo for Rodrigo's recent single, "drop dead" (I guess you could also say Padilla is Getting Killed by Rodrigo).
