PENTAGON vocalist Jinho has parted ways with CUBE Entertainment after nine years with the company.
CUBE Entertainment issued a statement on April 15 announcing that Pentagon’s Jinho would be leaving the company as the idol’s contract with the label had expired. “Following careful and thorough discussions with our artist, Jinho, his exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment has come to an end as of April 14, 2025,” it shared, as translated by Soompi.
“Since his debut in 2016 as a member of PENTAGON, Jinho has shown remarkable talent and dedication to music, both as the group’s eldest member and main vocalist and also as a solo artist,” CUBE Entertainment added.
This makes him the seventh member of the PENTAGON to leave CUBE Entertainment, with only Hui and Shinwon still signed to the agency. In October 2023, five members – Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino and Wooseok – opted not to renew their contracts. Hongseok followed suit the following month.
In June 2024, Wooseok said in a podcast that the group “did not disband”, adding that the members often keep in contact with one another. At the time, the K-pop idol also said that PENTAGON had plans to reunite for at least a performance sometime in the future.
“There’s nothing planned or scheduled yet, but we agreed that even if we don’t release an album, we want to get together for a performance,” he said at the time. However, PENTAGON have remained inactive since. “Everyone is doing their best in this situation, [there are members] working hard on their solo careers like me, and the members who act are working on that too.”
