Pet Shop Boys are known for their political view in the world and they prove it once more.In February 2024 the Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, died in prison in Russia. Neil and Chris wrote and demoed this song in February 2025 and dedicate it to his memory and cause. In the dance mix version, Neil quotes extracts from Navalny’s prison letters and his book "Patriot". Unlike the streaming version, the official video for the dance mix features audio extracts from Navalny’s speeches.Pet Shop Boys will headline a very special event in Berlin on June 28, playing a 40-minute live set.The event, "This Is Navalny', will also include performances by Russian musicians as well as a live meeting with Yulia Navalnaya (the widow of Alexei Navalny and head of the Anti-Corruption Foundation which her husband founded).
