Pitbull gave a heartfelt thank you to fans attending his recent London gig wearing bald caps, saying it was “amazing to see”.

Hundreds, if not thousands of fans descended on the O2 Arena on Friday (February 21) donning bald caps, aviators and leather jackets in spirit of Mr Worldwide, real name Armando Christian Pérez.

The ‘International Love’ singer is currently embarking on the European leg of his ‘Party After Dark Tour’ joined by Lil Jon, and while performing on his only date in England, he took a moment to thank the fans who emulated his style.

“Now I wanna say a special thank you to everybody who came out with bald caps here tonight,” he said on stage. “It’s amazing to see, and it’s amazing to feel.”

“And I hope when you put on those bald caps you feel just like I do: Having a good motherfucking time every day of my life.”

Fans shared photos of the “sea of white shirts and bald caps” as fans left the gig, with many celebrating the light-hearted trend. “Currently at Pitbull and there’s so many girls in bald caps it’s amazing,” wrote one fan, with another replying: “I love the fact that he himself thinks it’s hilarious.” Check out more social media reactions below.

Do you reckon the companies that make bald caps know when a Pitbull concert is on the horizon bc it meaningfully impacts their profit margins? Or do you think they even have to track his touring schedule to ensure they have sufficient stock?

All those girls going to pitbull wearing suits and bald caps. Great bit. Good clean fun. Just a classic gag. Uncritical support.

In other Pitbull news, earlier this summer the artist re-credited Kesha on their collaborative song ‘Timber’, following backlash for her name being removed from the 2013 video.

Since the discovery came to light, fans called out Pitbull for the update, with some calling it “nasty work”, especially when the track is best known for its catchy chorus that is sung by Kesha. Fans have also cited the “millions” that Kesha wasn’t paid in royalties for performing on the hit song.

Some also noted that they had considered the song to be Kesha’s, instead of her being a featured guest.

Following the backlash, Pitbull spoke out about the update on X/Twitter, confirming that he admires the singer and was looking into the update. “[Kesha] and I have an incredible song together. Nothing will change this. Team Pitbull is looking into this matter. Always nothing but love for Kesha, Dale!”

Before then, Pitbull’s song ‘I Feel Good’ was at the centre of an infringement lawsuit by a company named All Surface Publishing, and this took place just days after he purchased the naming rights for the Florida International University Stadium, and renamed the venue as the Pitbull Stadium.
