Portola Festival returns to the Bay Area with an eclectic lineup of acts and events. Stay in the know with the set times, maps, and other important information!

Portola Festival is back for its fourth edition, taking over San Francisco’s Pier 80 on September 20-21. What started as a bold experiment in 2022 has quickly cemented itself as one of Northern California’s must-attend electronic and dance music festivals, and this year, they bring a week-long series of events and promising acts.

The hype around the festival kicked off in May, when organizers revealed a jaw-dropping lineup featuring LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Peggy Gou, Blood Orange, The Dare, and more. In true Portola fashion, they also delivered a curveball booking of Christina Aguilera, who is making a rare festival appearance for the gals, gays, and theys in true Y2K fashion. And, the party doesn’t stop at the Pier.

In August, Portola unveiled Portola Week, a lead-up series of intimate club shows scattered across San Francisco starting Thursday, September 18. Those itching to hit the dancefloor before the weekend can expect unique experiences with salute, LP Giobbi, KETTAMA, Chris Lorenzo, Magdalena Bay, Peggy Gou b2b Mau P, and more.

Stay in the know with all the essential information below, including the set times, maps, and more. Be sure to check out our five top acts for a refined dancefloor experience or dig into Despacio, and remember to party responsibly.

Reminder to Mind Your Belongings:

Unfortunately, during recent festival seasons, many have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers. It’s essential to mind your valuables while at Portola Festival.
