Sci-fi adventure game Pragmata will almost definitely be getting a sequel, according to Capcom bosses. READ MORE: ‘Pragmata’ review: ‘The Last Of Us’ meets ‘Alien’ in surprisingly wholesome space horror Released in April, Pragmata is “a unique, sci-fi action-adventure game” from Capcom. “Follow Hugh, a member of an ill-fated investigation team, and Diana, a young android, as they navigate a lunar facility taken over by rogue AI in search of a way to Earth,” reads a description of the game. Despite being a brand new IP, Pragmata was well-received by both critics and fans with many praising the shooter/puzzling mechanic that makes up the core gameplay, as well as the emotionally-driven story. According to Capcom, Pragmata has already sold more than 2.5million units. The game’s ending seemed pretty final but bosses have said a sequel will probably happen. Capcom’s corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi said the “likelihood of a sequel is high” after Pragmata’s sales exceeded expectations. The company hopes the IP can be developed into a “pillar franchise and a source of longer-term revenue” (via Bloomberg).
