Radiohead to Perform in the Round on Upcoming Tour, Promise Dynamic Setlist

Next month, Radiohead will regroup for their first tour dates in seven years, playing shows across the UK and Europe. Previewing the upcoming jaunt in a new interview with The Sunday Times, the band revealed that they’ll be performing in the round, in the middle of the arena, something they haven’t done since opening for Ned’s Atomic Dustbin in 1993.

Guitarist Jonny Greenwood also shared that frontman Thom Yorke shared an initial list of 65 songs for the band to draw from when crafting their nightly setlists. “Which we’re all frantically learning,” Greenwood explained. “Then Thom will turn up and say, let’s not do half.”

Yorke, Ed O’Brien, and Phil Selway will ultimately be in charge of putting together the setlist each night — and unlike Oasis’ ongoing reunion tour, Radiohead intend to mix it up. “We have too many songs,” Yorke explained. “We’re contrary bastards,” O’Brien added.
