64-year-old Salazar has served in Congress since 2021 and is seeking re-election against Democrat and fellow former TV broadcaster Eliott Rodriguez in a 74-percent Hispanic district that Trump won by 15 points after breaking for Joe Biden in 2020. Trump was asked about Salazar's recent campaign ad denouncing his administration's mass deportation policy, and he, of course, attacked her, telling the reporter, "Without me she wouldn't have gotten elected ... she got a little bit soft on the border."
