Rupert Grint is set to reprise his role as Ron Weasley in the Broadway production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child. READ MORE: Soundtrack Of My Life: Rupert Grint The actor played Ron in all eight of the original Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011, and will now take on the grown-up version of the character for a 17-week run at New York’s Lyric Theatre. Grint will begin performances on February 2, 2027 and continue until May 30. He follows Tom Felton, who returned to his role as Draco Malfoy in the Broadway show last November and was met with a huge ovation on his opening night. The pair will not share the stage, however, with Felton due to play his final performance on January 3, a month before Grint joins the cast. “Ron Weasley has been a part of me since I was 11 years old and I can’t wait to meet him again in this stage of life,” Grint said in a statement. “There is something so full-circle and so special about stepping back into Ron’s shoes now when we are both fathers; it is somehow both very familiar and completely new.” He added: “The first time I saw Cursed Child onstage, I was blown away and I can’t wait to set foot back on Platform 9 ¾ and pick up where I left o...
