Samsung have asked a judge to dismiss a $15million lawsuit against them from Dua Lipa. Samsung later responded to the lawsuit and rejected the accusations from the ‘Dance The Night’ singer, saying that the image was “provided by a content partner for the free streaming service Samsung TV Plus. It was only used after the content partner had given explicit assurances that all necessary rights had been obtained – including use on sales packaging.” It added that it has “great respect for Dua Lipa” and the intellectual property of artists. It also said that it was “open to a constructive solution” with the singer. Now, legal representatives for Samsung are seeking a dismissal of the lawsuit.
