Shinedown Release New Song “Killing Fields”: Stream

Shinedown have released new song “Killing Fields,” their third single of 2025. Stream it below.

The track opens with a mysterious intro that sounds like a guitar being manipulated to mimic violin strings. Frontman Brent Smith’s vocals come in prominently, and from there, the song opens into a surging hard rocker with an uplifting chorus and bridge section.

The new single arrives just days before Shinedown kick off the summer leg of their 2025 tour on Saturday (July 19th) at TD Garden in Boston. The outing features support from Bush and runs through August 30th, with a final gig at the FedExForum in Memphis. See the full schedule below, and get tickets here.

Although the band has yet to announce their follow-up to 2022’s Planet Zero, the string of singles hints that a new album might be on the way. The previous two tracks, “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance,” were released back in January before the initial leg of the band’s 2025 tour.

The latter tune made Shinedown the first band in the history of the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart to hold 20 No. 1 hits.
