Show Me the Body Unleash Single “Dance in the USA” Ahead of Spring Tour: Stream

Show Me the Body have released a new single titled “Dance in the USA” alongside a music video for the track. The new song comes just ahead of a spring US tour that launches next month.

The West Coast outing sees Show Me the Body hit the road with post-punk band Provoker, kicking off on May 14th in Salt Lake City before ending on May 24th in Tacoma, Washington. The band will then embark on a run of European supporting Deafheaven in August.

“Dance in the USA” shows a pronounced hip-hop focus alongside a grinding, groovy sludge bassline. That collision of sonic elements is typical for Show Me the Body, known for bridging punk-spirited genres like noise, sludge, hip-hop and, of course, hardcore.

Of the song, vocalist Julian Cashwann Pratt said, “‘Dance in the USA’ is about how we implore style to survive in this reality. It’s how we embrace the struggle of ourselves, our family’s, and those around you. It’s the dance that we all do — how we hustle, the good and the bad things we do – just to get through it.”

The single release comes alongside a series of candid interviews and conversations Pratt has been having with various friends in the industry under the title “Alone Together,” which already has two episodes out.
