Two decades into a career that’s touched everything from hardstyle’s formative years to Billboard-charting crossovers with David Guetta and Major Lazer, Showtek are formalizing what’s always been their operating principle: genre allegiance is optional. The Dutch duo have launched F_CK THE SYSTEM, a new label imprint in partnership with Be Yourself Music, and christened it with an official collaboration alongside Belgian-French dance staple Kate Ryan.

The Be Yourself pairing is a logical one. The Dutch independent has spent nearly 20 years developing talent across the dance spectrum including Bakermat, Headhunterz, Tinlicker, Imanbek, and Vicetone all count among its alumni, making it a fitting home for a label built explicitly to avoid a single lane. According to Showtek, F_CK THE SYSTEM is structured to house all of it: underground club records, festival weaponry, and the crossover material that’s defined stretches of their catalog.

The imprint’s first release reworks Ryan’s enduring “Ella Elle L’a,” and its origin story is a festival-tested one. Showtek road-tested an early edit of the flip during their set at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience inside Paris’ Accor Arena, where the crowd sang the hook back at full volume, enough of a signal to turn a live edit into a formal collaboration. The record also extends Showtek’s ongoing French connection, following their 2025 official remix of GIMS’ “Ciel” and years of Guetta co-productions.
